Lori A. Beaman

I am the Breen Family Professor of Economics at Northwestern University and a Faculty Fellow at the Institute for Policy Research.

My research is in development economics, with a focus on social networks, the diffusion of information and technology, labor markets, and gender. Much of my fieldwork is based in Mali, Malawi, Liberia, Nigeria and India.

I am a Research Associate at the NBER, a Fellow of BREAD, and an affiliate of J-PAL and Innovations for Poverty Action.

For Northwestern students interested in the Senior Honors Seminar, I have weekly office hours on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30pm.
